The Author

Terry Fitzgerald grew up in the Western Australian resort town of Busselton which is approximately 250 kilometres south west of Perth. Terry loved all things to do with the water, water skiing, fishing, surfing, windsurfing and boating, many a weekend or after work was spent in, on, or near the ocean.

Terry and Lisa lived in a modest home only a short walk from the beach and married in 1987 .Brendan was born on valentines day 1989 and Jessica arrived just over three years later on 30 March 1992.

The marriage ended in divorce in 1995 with Terry then moving to close by Dunsborough. At that time Terry was working as a real estate agent in Busselton and had attended Tafe evening classes for the previous two and a half years to gain his real estate Triennial Licence.

Terry married Kandice in December 1998 before moving to Perth in 2000 to explore further work opportunities and on 3 April 2001 they welcomed Mia into the world.

Brendan , Jessica and Mia became the greatest of siblings and looked forward to spending as much time together as they could.

Terry initially found it difficult to become settled in Perth and changed jobs several times looking for something better on each occasion. He also missed Brendan and Jessica a great deal and his marriage to Kandice had become strained and ended in divorce late in 2002.

Terry became disillusioned with the real estate industry and being fond of cars he decided that a change of scenery was needed and become a car salesman for a local prestige motor dealer. This new environment was refreshing however the job itself wasn’t for him and after only a matter of three months he had forwarded his resignation. Towards the end of 2003 Terry joined a property development company in the CBD. This position was satisfying and Terry was now beginning to enjoy Perth as well as the life of a single man although with all separations/divorce, and property settlements there comes a great deal of stress and emotion and consequently Terry dealing with this for a second time suffered during this period.

2005 arrived and Terry was now enjoying good health both physically and emotionally, the job was still being enjoyed and he was now feeling comfortable and in good spirits other than not being with his children.
